An organizational building and restructuring expert, Okunjimi Odimayo functions as Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of Arowolo Group Limited. Mr. Odimayo started his career with Acorn Petroleum Plc, where he proved his proficiency in financial administration and crisis management. He has also functioned in various capacities in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream sub-sectors of the industry, working with various oil companies including Somerset Energy and Bellpoint Energy, Jimi has Consulted in the Midstream operations of Addax & Oryx Group serving as a Liaison between the company and the Nigerian Government and regulatory authorities, his contribution was helpful in making the relatively unknown company quickly become a more visible and competitive entity in the Nigerian oil and gas industry. These tours of duty in the industry have exposed Jimi to the full intricacies of the oil and gas industry and made him well grounded in the operations of the sector. Jimi, as a professional and entrepreneur, has the uncanny ability to remain focus on the task at hand in spite of any distraction or challenges encountered. His professional career has been enriched with his attendance of several professional training and courses in Nigeria and Abroad. Educated at Nigeria’s foremost higher institution, Yaba College of Technology and the University of Liverpool, from where he awaits his Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance. He is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Nigerian Institute of Shippers.
Mr. Odimayo was also a Member of the Commerce and Industry Sub-group of the Transitional Committee that prepared the Socio-Economic Blueprint of the Akeredolu Administration in Ondo State, Nigeria. Mr. Odimayo’s vision and dream are to develop and nurture an institution with series of profitable businesses and a “too big to fail” status has helped shape the growth of Arowolo Group.
As a director of Arowolo Group, Oluwatosin Odimayo performs the oversight duty of coordinating the Group and its subsidiaries’ operations, aligning their collective synergy to win in the competitive market place, and achieve all organizational goals. She had served Arowolo Group, in diverse capacities including Human Resource Manager, Administrative Manager, and Treasury Manager, in which capacity she managed the cash flow and banking transactions of the bulk petroleum products distributing subsidiary of the Group.
Prior to her joining Arowolo Group, Mrs. Odimayo had earlier worked at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in the Transaction Service Department handling key responsibilities including delivering exceptional customer services to clients in both Naira and foreign currencies dominated transactions. In the last two decades, Tosin has attended many professional and personal development training and courses, which have helped sharpened her skills as a manager of organizational and individual resources. With her uncanny ability to work under pressure and her varied professional experience in the Financial and Oil and Gas sectors of the economy, Tosin has been of tremendous assistance to the Board especially in the provision of the much-needed impetus needed to enhance the productivity of the Group in the Financial and Business Management aspects of the business. With more than a decade experience in the Banking and Oil and Gas sectors of the Nigerian economy, Samuel Soneye takes on the responsibilities of supervising the financial operations of the Group, preparing critical financial reports and managing the working capital of the company as well as playing critical roles in the Group’s relationships and negotiations with its bankers. Mr. Soneye, who holds a BSc Degree in Business Administration from University of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has worked at First City Monument Bank PLC, Navitus Energy Plc and the Swift Oil Group.
Samuel, an expert in the installation and operations of several accounting software packages including Sage Pastel and Sage X3 ERP, is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Samuel joined Arowolo Group in early 2016 as its General Manager bringing in his rich wealth of experience into the new drive to reposition and push the group into new heights. Samuel has attended many career inspiring and personal development trainings.
Benedicta is an astute Human Resources professional with over 14 years’ experience in organizations (indigenous and global) across several industries including Education, Printing, Marine and Oil and Gas. She is well grounded possesses a broad-based and progressively responsible experience in Human Resources and Administrative Management with distinct attentiveness in Human Capital Development, Talent Sourcing and Retention, Employee Relations, Performance Management and Organizational Development.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Languages from the prestigious University of Calabar, Cross River State and has also attended various training and workshops in HR, Aviation, Lubes, and HSE just to mention a few which has over time built the ground work of her success in safeguarding employees to meet their mark. Before berthing at Arowolo Group, she was at Caverton Marine Limited and Acorn Petroleum Plc. At Arowolo Group, Benedicta is the Group Head, HR and Admin.
tor Ohakim’s mandate as the Group Chief Commercial Officer includes supervising the commercial operations of all the Group’s retail, depot, midstream and logistics activities. As the chief business development officer, he is also responsible for developing and delivering strategic leadership direction for the commercial initiatives of the Group to achieve market penetration and sales growth at profitable margins while providing strategic leadership for enterprise -wide business development opportunities.
Mr. Ohakim, a veteran in oil and gas business start-ups, has worked as Chief Operating Officer of Earth oil Petroleum Services Limited and General Manager/ Head, BDM of Ontario Oil and Gas Limited. Victor, who holds a MBA from Federal University of Technology, Owerri alongside a B. Engineering Degree from the same institution has attended many training and seminars on Selling Techniques, Service Station Management, Oil Training and Logistics. He is an active member of tank terminals and tank chat and an Alumnus of Pan African University, Enterprise Development Centre. A career downstream oil and gas professional and trader, Victor has strong communications skills as well as very good working knowledge of the latest IT and Internet tools.
Mr. Adebawo, a seasoned Accounting/ Audit professional, has the responsibility of ensuring that all aspects of the Group and its subsidiaries’ conform to the corporate procedure guidelines, good practices and the relevant guidelines of the appropriate authorities and laws. Tunde, whose professional interests include Compliance, Audit / Tax Advisory and Account Analysis and Reconciliation, is also in charge of preparation of timely, relevant and reliable financial information needed to enhance the Group’s successful strategic management system. Before he joined Arowolo Group, he had worked in Staco Insurance Plc and SIAO Partners and few professional firms, where he was involved in Audits and Investigations, Compliance and Reconciliation of blue-chip companies. Tunde, has a BSc Degree in Accounting from Lagos State University and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Institute of Credit and Collection Management of Nigeria.
